On 14th April, our students (Young Ambassadors of the UNESCO Baltic Sea Project) took part in an Earth Day conference entitled “Human – Science – Environment. Shared Responsibility” at Uniwersyteckie Liceum Ogólnokształcące w Gdańsku. 🌍🌱

During a series of inspiring lectures, they learned about the biodiversity of the Tri-City Landscape Park, the role of carbon dioxide in climate change, and the effects of these changes in Spitsbergen. The workshop section made a particularly strong impression — the students explored biodiversity in the field, took part in #CHEMOBIL chemistry activities (hydrogen- and seawater-powered vehicles), and practised providing basic first aid.

To conclude the day, they joined a thought-provoking debate titled “Will My Generation Save the Planet?”. It was an intense and inspiring day that highlighted the importance of knowledge, engagement, and responsibility for the environment. 🔬🚙🧬
